On Tuesday (March 29), a massive fire broke out in a densely populated residential area in Kampung Cincau, Gudang Village, Bogor City, West Java. At least 11 houses inhabited by around 15 families with 43 people were completely burned down.
The entire IBI Kesatuan community quickly responded to the incident by providing assistance/donations to the affected victims on Friday (1/4).
The donation activity was held from 10:30 a.m. until completion and was attended by Prof. Dr. H. Moermahadi Soerja Djanegara, SE., MM., Ak., CPA., CA., CSFA., ASEAN CPA., as the Rector of IBI Kesatuan, along with the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Vice Rector for Finance, Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Dean of the Business Faculty, Director of Vocational Education, and 10 heads of families affected by the fire incident.
Prof. Moermahadi gave a speech at the event. He expressed his sympathy for the residents affected by the disaster and said that disasters are difficult to avoid. He hoped that the residents would not lose hope.
In addition, Ujang W. M., head of the Gudang Village Community Empowerment Agency (LPM), also gave a speech. He expressed his deepest gratitude to IBI Kesatuan for helping the victims. He hoped that the residents’ houses that had been burned down could be rebuilt.
IBI Kesatuan donated basic necessities and cash to all victims affected by the fire.
