The IBI Kesatuan Vocational Student Association held a Vocation Rework (Ready for Work) event with the theme “Resume and Job Interview Preparation: Are You Ready to Start Your Career?”. This activity aimed to provide an understanding of how to write a good and proper CV, as well as understand the stages of the job interview process.

The event featured Habibul Fuadi Hanif, a Business Analyst at a Big 4 Consulting Firm, as a speaker, along with Denny Bimantara, a Customer Experience Specialist at a Fintech Company, and Nurhadiani, an Accounting Staff at PT Enseval Putera Megatrading Tbk., who is also an IBI Kesatuan alumnus.

The event was held on August 6, 2022, in a hybrid format from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the 6th floor hall of IBI Kesatuan and via Zoom Meeting. The event was attended by 365 participants, including students from IBI Kesatuan and other universities, high school/vocational school students from Bogor City, and Student Activity Units (UKM).

In his presentation, Habibul Fuadi Hanif explained that one way to describe oneself during a job interview is to highlight what makes us different from others, external factors (other people), and the environment. Furthermore, filling out a CV also depends heavily on the job we are applying for. He also emphasized the importance of making a good first impression when creating a CV and during the job interview process.

The next event was a sharing session presented by Denny Bimantara and Nurhadiani, who are alumni of IBI Kesatuan. They shared their experiences in the world of work. They also talked about the things that need to be prepared for internships and job hunting, one of which is that we must be able to do personal branding, so that companies can “attract” and find the candidates they really need.

Attendees also had the opportunity to have their CVs reviewed by the speakers, participate in a simulated job interview process, and enjoy a performance by the Harmoni Penggiat Seni (HARPAS) student club, as well as an engaging quiz for those present.
