From April 10 to 13, 2023, participants consisting of IBIK students and the general public attended a data science bootcamp titled Datcamp 2023, which was a seminar held by the IBI Kesatuan Information Systems undergraduate program.

DATCAMP 2023 will feature Pingky Dezar Zulkarnain, SE., M.Sc., Ph.D as the speaker, Mochammad Jafar Tri Febriansyah, S.kom, M.kom and Putri Choliddazia, ST., M.Kom as the presenters, and Wahyu Indra Satria, S.Kom., M.Kom as the moderator.

This seminar focuses on data management and processing, commonly known as data science. Data science itself is a method of managing large volumes of data in a more modern way using programming models that are the result of a combination of several sciences, such as mathematics, computer science, business strategy, and statistics.

The function of data science itself is to maximize business strategy design.
So, in every industry, there will always be transaction data and database management. The purpose of data science is to process this data and turn it into information for decision makers to determine a company’s business strategy.

The purpose of this bootcamp is to introduce data science in order to spark students’ interest in data management, support and prepare the younger generation to face the developing trends of digital transformation technology in the field of information systems, and provide an understanding and implementation of data analysis to hone their skills in the field of data science.
