The Competency Test (UKK) is one of the government’s efforts to ensure the quality of education in vocational schools. It is hoped that through this program, vocational schools can produce graduates with the required competencies. The UKK is an indicator of the achievement of the competency standards expected by schools.
SMK Bina Sejahtera 1 has conducted a Competency Test in Accounting and Institutional Finance at IBI Kesatuan. This activity was held as a mandatory requirement for vocational school students before graduating. The Competency Test was conducted over two days on March 14-15, 2023. Yayuk Nurjanah, SE., M.Ak., AWP., CIIQA., Head of the Digital Business Accounting Study Program, said that this was the second time this activity had been held at IBI Kesatuan, in collaboration with the Accounting Development Center (PPA).
On the first day, the competency test covered the accounting cycle, starting with the accounting cycle of a trading company, posting to the general ledger, and preparing financial statements. On the second day, students took the competency test on accounting software, spreadsheets, MYOB, and workplace safety theory.
The examiners are lecturers from IBI Kesatuan who are qualified in their respective fields of expertise. Students who have taken the Competency Test will receive a certificate from PPA IBI Kesatuan.
It is hoped that students who have taken the 2-day Competency Test will be able to continue their studies to a higher level in order to improve their education in the field of accounting.
